Terms of use

Effective June 17, 2026 · Version v1-2026-06-17

DRAFT — pending counsel sign-off. Brackets resolved; see code comments for D1–D12.

These terms are an agreement between you and Axle Radar LLC, a Delaware limited liability company operating in California, which builds and operates Lighthouse (“Lighthouse,” “we,” “us”). Lighthouse turns a short conversation into a personalized AI learning plan you can act on this week. Please read these terms alongside our Privacy notice, which explains how we handle your data. By using Lighthouse, you agree to these terms.

Who can use Lighthouse

Lighthouse is intended for people 16 and older. If you indicate during the interview that you are under 16, we stop immediately — no plan is generated and nothing you entered is kept. This reflects children’s-privacy law (the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, and the GDPR’s rules for children, which set the digital-consent age between 13 and 16 across the EU). If you don’t meet the minimum age, you cannot use Lighthouse.

What Lighthouse is — and isn’t

Lighthouse asks you five questions and turns your answers into a personalized AI learning plan — delivered as a shareable web chart and a downloadable PDF. The plan is generated by a large language model(Anthropic’s Claude) from what you tell us; it is not a hand-written template.

Your plan is educational guidance, not professional advice. It is not career, financial, legal, or medical advice, and it does not guarantee any particular outcome. AI-generated content can be wrong or out of date — you decide what to act on, and you should use your own judgment before relying on it. Lighthouse lights the path; it doesn’t take the wheel.

What you pay, and what you get

A Lighthouse chart costs $10 USD, one time. It is not a subscription — there is no recurring charge and nothing renews. For that payment you receive your personalized plan as a web chart at a private, shareable link and as a downloadable PDF, yours to keep.

Payment is taken at the time of purchase and your plan is generated and delivered immediately. If you have a promotional code, enter it at checkout; a valid 100%-off code means you pay nothing.

Because this is a one-time payment for a digital product that is delivered immediately upon purchase, California’s Automatic Renewal Law (ARL) does not apply — there is no subscription, free trial, or recurring billing.

Refunds — we’ll make it right

We want you to walk away with something useful. If your plan isn’t useful, email us at dom@dom.net and we will regenerate it, fix it, or refund you.

Automatic full refund: if you paid but the chart failed to generate or you never received access to it, we will refund you in full with no questions.

14-day window: if your chart was delivered but you are not satisfied and contact us within 14 days of purchase, we will work to make it right — regenerate, fix, or refund. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. Because your plan is a digital product delivered immediately upon payment, we may decline a refund once a chart has been successfully delivered and your only issue is one we have offered to resolve — but our default, when in doubt, is to refund.

EU/UK consumers: Under EU and UK consumer law you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal from digital-content contracts. By proceeding to checkout and requesting immediate delivery of your plan, you acknowledge that performance begins immediately and that your right of withdrawal is lost once the chart has been successfully delivered — but we will still honor reasonable refund requests within our 14-day window above.

Refunds are processed via Stripe, using the payment method you used at checkout.

Payments & Stripe

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Your card details are entered into and held by Stripe under Stripe’s privacy policy; Lighthouse never sees or stores your full card number. Charges appear on your statement under the Lighthouse / Axle Radar LLC account.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Lighthouse to break the law, to harass or harm others, or to submit content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else’s rights. Don’t scrape or bulk-extract from the service, reverse-engineer it, or try to circumvent its age, rate-limit, payment, or consent controls. Don’t interfere with the service’s operation or security. We may suspend access for material violations.

Your answers, your plan

The answers you give and the plan we generate for you are yours.Your chart lives at an unguessable link that is private by default but shareable — anyone you send it to can view it, so share it only with people you trust. Lighthouse itself — the app, its software, its wordmark and branding — belongs to us; using Lighthouse doesn’t transfer any of that to you. We do not use your answers to train AI models.

Third-party links & services

Your plan may point you to outside tools, courses, and resources. Those are run by other people, under their own terms and privacy policies — we don’t control them and aren’t responsible for them. Lighthouse relies on service providers including Anthropic (plan generation), Supabase (storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting), and Google Analytics (analytics). How each handles data is described in our Privacy notice.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Lighthouse is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory — to the fullest extent allowed by law. Because your plan is AI-generated educational guidance, we do not warrant that it is accurate, complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on your plan.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Lighthouse or these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to Lighthouse in connection with the claim or $50 USD. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, even if we were advised such damages were possible.

Nothing in these terms limits any consumer-protection right that applicable law gives you and that cannot be waived by contract.

Copyright (DMCA)

If you believe that content accessible through Lighthouse infringes a copyright you hold, send a written notice to dom@dom.net that includes: (1) your signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work; (3) identification of the infringing material and where it is located on Lighthouse; (4) your contact information; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized; and (6) a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf. We will respond to valid notices promptly.

Resolving disputes

Talk to us first. If you have a dispute, please contact us at dom@dom.net so we can try to resolve it informally. We will make a genuine effort to do so within 30 days of receiving your notice.

Binding arbitration. If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or Lighthouse (except the carve-outs below) will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be conducted in San Francisco, California, or by video or telephone. Judgment on any award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. Each party bears its own costs unless the arbitrator finds a claim frivolous or brought in bad faith.

Small-claims carve-out. Either party may bring a qualifying dispute in small-claims court in San Francisco County, California (or in your county, if permitted by that court) rather than in arbitration, so long as the matter remains in small claims and is brought only on an individual basis.

Class-action waiver. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Lighthouse each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in or bring a class action, consolidated action, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator has no authority to consolidate claims or award class-wide relief.

Opt-out. You may opt out of the arbitration and class-waiver provisions by emailing dom@dom.net with the subject “Arbitration Opt-Out” within 30 days of first using Lighthouse. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the courts described below.

EU and UK users

If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the following applies in addition to the rest of these terms and our Privacy notice.

Data controller. The data controller for your personal information is Axle Radar LLC, reachable at dom@dom.net.

Legal bases. We process your interview answers on the basis of contract performance (to generate the chart you purchased) and legitimate interests (security and fraud prevention). We process analytics on the basis of consent, which you can withdraw at any time from the Analytics preferences link in the footer.

International transfers.Your interview answers are sent to Anthropic’s API servers in the United States to generate your chart. Anthropic participates in the EU-US and UK Extension to the Data Privacy Framework. Additional safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses) apply where required. Vercel, Supabase, Stripe, and Resend also process data in the US under their own DPF participation or SCCs.

Your rights.Under GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, or port your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the EU, your Member State’s DPA; in the UK, the ICO at ico.org.uk). To exercise any right, email dom@dom.net. We will respond within 30 days.

Governing law for EU/UK disputes. The arbitration and class-action-waiver provisions above do not apply to EU or UK consumers. Your statutory consumer rights under EU or UK law are not affected by these terms.

California users (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share your personal information — not to data brokers, advertisers, or anyone else. We have not sold or shared personal information in the past 12 months.

California residents may have the right to: (1) know what personal information we have collected about them and how it is used; (2) request deletion of their personal information; (3) correct inaccurate personal information; and (4) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email dom@dom.net. We will respond within 45 days. We collect personal information in the categories and for the purposes described in our Privacy notice.

Intelligent Data™

Lighthouse includes an optional Intelligent Data™ feature, which is off by default. If you choose to opt in (it will be clearly presented as a separate, affirmative choice), we will retain and use your interview data to improve the quality of future plans. We keep a record of your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing dom@dom.net.

Accessibility

We are committed to making Lighthouse accessible to people with disabilities. If you encounter a barrier or need assistance, email dom@dom.net and we will work with you to provide access to the content or feature you need.

Changes to these terms

Lighthouse is in early alpha, so these terms may change as the product grows. Each version carries a version string and an effective date shown at the top of this page; we will update them when something material changes. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. This is version v1-2026-06-17.

Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute not subject to arbitration or small-claims court will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
